And here is another. Use vinegar for mopping! Mix 3 tablespoons vinegar in each gallon water (I don't actually measure, just pour some in there) and that is all you need for completely clean, totally streak free floors. As always you can throw in a few drops of essential oil if you are looking for a pretty smell while you mop. I have used this on hardwood and tile with no problems whatsoever. I use a plastic mop handle with washable microfiber mop pad. It works well. But there is also at least one recycled mop out there if you are in the market.
Don't worry, we aren't done with vinegar yet. You will see it at least a couple more times this week. What mopping tips did I miss?

one of the most magical uses of vinegar i know of is as a drain cleaner... my youngest daughter's bathroom sink was clogged... a box of baking soda and a few cups of vinegar... and wow.. was she impressed when it worked!!!! (so was i!!)
Fabulous! I use vinegar in my dishwasher, instead of soap. Works wonders and leaves no spots.
Just dropping by from SITS to wish the top of the mornin' to you! Happy St. Pat's!
I love using vinegar, I use it my dishwasher and when cleaning humidifiers in the winter to get the calcium deposits off - it is great!!!
My husband soaked our shower heads in vinegar and it worked like a charm. It did not even take a whole hour to clean it.
Vinegar is also a weed killer.
It is a wonderfully useful thing! I knew most of those 10, but I haven't tried it for wallpaper removal. Fabric softener works for that too — and smells better!

Annie-I am going to have a post on just that thing later this week!
WishTrish-I never knew! I don't have a dishwasher but that is a brilliant tip for the rest of the readers.
Megan Z-humidifiers-I love it!
Over Coffee-It's great to know that tip actually worked!
Lori-I didn't know that either!
Hermit-I have tried the fabric softener and it does work like a charm but it is still a tad toxic for my taste.
Sparkspot-thanks!
You all are so smart and innovative! I am so trying these things!
I'm suprrised no one mentioned it. Vinegar is also used to help repel ants. I live in northern CA.. wayy north by the coast, During the rain season the ants are everywhere inside, despite your best efforts in cleaning and trying other methods. Vinegar has been great so far, Read somewhere they don't like the smell of it
